Hackathons are like marathons. Some people come to compete, but most people come to learn, grow, and have fun. Whatever your reason for being at SwampHacks XI, we ask that you uphold the hacker spirit by collaborating with others, helping beginners, sharing knowledge, and enjoying the experience.

Teams 🤝:
- Teams may have 2**–4 members**.
- Teams must consist exclusively of students.
- Organizers, volunteers, judges, sponsors, and anyone in a privileged role may not compete.
- All team members must be formally accepted by the SwampHacks XI organizing team.
- There is no requirement for cross-disciplinary teams.
- Team formation is managed through Devpost.
- If you are not signed up for Devpost, please use the link in your acceptance email.
- Use the #looking-for-team channel in the SwampHacks Discord to find teammates.
- Teams must check in prior to the opening ceremony.
- Teams do not need to remain on-site for the entire hackathon, but but you must check-in prior to the opening ceremony so in-person participation is strongly encouraged.
- We highly recommend your team being at the venue for the duration of the hackathon. If you need to leave to hack elsewhere for some time, that is ok.
- To be eligible for prizes, at least one team member must be present during judging and the closing ceremony.
- Teams may only submit one project.
Code & Idea Usage 💻
- Teams may work on an idea conceived before the event, but all code must be written during the hackathon.
- You may not reuse code from previous hackathons or projects.
- All work on the project must be completed during the official hacking period.
